FREE web hosting like it's the early aughts (2000s) again!

A project to foster creativity, 1990s and 2000s style. We don't like bots and AI everywhere. We don't like social media. We especially don't like the fact that the internet is condensed down to a handful of major websites or (((apps))).

Rules:

• No commercial services
• No AI-generated content
• No bots
• No garbage social media
• Freedom of speech is very important to us, but...
• No illegal content (governed by US law) (ask if you aren't sure)
• Content will be checked periodically, and possibly indexed by our own search engine project (like what Google used to be, circa 2005)

What you get:

To request service, email admin@basedlan.com with your desire username/subdomain and your domain if you are bringing one. I will respond as soon as I can to get you up and running and provide login information and other pertinent instructions.

DISCLAIMER

This is entirely a personal project for fun and learning. I have two decades of web host experience but gave up the professional role years ago. I offer no guarantee of uptime, backups, etc. I will try to do everything in my power to give notice by email of any scheduled downtime or maintenance and any other service changes or interruptions. If you do manage to outgrow what I can offer for free, I will help you find a new host that can accomodate your needs.
